For close to three years, our lead graphic designer provided the graphic design direction for Concordia University of Edmonton. Projects included such items as Annual Report magazines, yearly view-books for prospective students, advertisements for a diverse range of media, and institutional drama and music production promotion. He also led the rebranding of the University, including all related ephemera. One of the key difficulties with the continual same viewer base was to keep the items visually interesting while maintaining a pattern of design that would be easily recognizable as the Concordia University of Edmonton brand. Here are a few examples of his work within the organization.
Lyster Enterprises is a pharmacist consulting business with its head office in the Barrhead area. When starting up, they were trying to evoke a feeling of friendly, professional pharmaceuticals services with a natural, minimalist colour palate. The following is what was chosen to represent this up-and-coming clinical service provider.
Making Waves was a grassroots campaign started by Barrhead residents concerned about losing their community's indoor pool facility. The key objectives of the project were to create something bold and visually striking to grab viewers' attention so that the Making Waves message could be conveyed to as much of the population as possible. The project included preparing buttons, information pamphlets, posters, thank-you cards, standing informational banners and newspaper advertisements.
